How we work
The KV-HELP office is a reliable and permanent contact point for individuals and groups. As an outreach program, staff members offer a Mobile Village Academy and provide hands-on-training and practical support to entrepreneurs and farmers to successfully start and manage their ventures.
What we do
Our Mobile Village Academy integrates development actions across health, education, agriculture/livestock and financial/entrepreneurial sectors

Module 1: Saving & Lending
Smallholder farmers struggle to meet their financial needs. Agricultural income is infrequent and volatile, and formal financial services often do not reach them or do not meet their needs. KV-HELP empowers groups to run self-governed, community-based financial organizations and supports individuals in their financial advancement.
The aims are:
• To build a network of small groups that accumulate savings and give loans to their members.
• To assist individuals and groups to improve the financial management of their livelihood activities.

Module 2: Food Security & Micro-Enterprise
KV-HELP supports the entrepreneurial spirit of individuals and groups to counteract the widespread food insecurity and eventually improve nutritional status among the beneficiary communities. It supports agricultural diversification and organic farming.
The aims are:
• To strengthen innovations around sustainable agriculture among smallholder farmers.
• To promote new strategic partnerships with reputable organizations with operational strength in Sustainable Agriculture, Nutrition, Micro-enterprise, Financial Management and Digital Technologies

Module 3: Environmental Protection & Health Promotion
The Kilombero Valley fresh water wetland is at high risk of pollution due to agricultural activities potentially releasing toxic chemicals into the environment. KV-HELP contributes to increasing awareness of environmental protection and its benefits for public health.
The aims are:
• To demonstrate to individuals and groups how low-cost organic farming activities help to generate income and protect the environment.
• To increase awareness of the health benefits of these activities in families and communities.
